Greetings!

Hello there! My objective for this web page is to highlight the key projects I made.

I work as a Professional Hardware Design Engineer. In my professional career I've been in the electronics design industry for more than 6 years now. I have extensive experience in building multiple projects gearing towards Internet-of-things(IOT), Power electronics, and Electric Vehicles. Some of the recent projects I am involved in are the home water control and monitoring using IMX6 as the main MPU, co-developed the hardware validation and verification of a Smart Fuse Circuit Breaker, design lead of the Generator Efficiency Optimizer Project, and much more.

Protocols I used on my previous projects are MODBUS, SPI, I2C, UART, ZWAVE and DALI. The main CAD software I use in Schematic and PCB layouts are KiCAD, Altium, and Cadence. For circuit simulation and analysis, I use LTSpice.

As for my firmware development experience, I mainly use C language. The platforms I use are Arduino, PlatformIO and Zephyr. You can find the programs I made on my github account: https://github.com/bryndelltorio/

The most recent project I’ve been involved in is an electric motor conversion kit. We are converting a gasoline-powered motorcycle into a fully electric motorbike. I lead the electrical design of this project by creating the wiring harness, which connects all the main devices such as gauge, break switch, throttle, 48V battery, and lighting circuitry. This prototype runs for about 3 hours at an average speed of 60 kph.

Electric Motor Conversion - Wiring Harness Design

The focus of this project is to convert a gasoline-powered motorbike. We have replaced the gasoline engine with an electric motor. The electric motor is powered by a 5kW 48V battery which can provide around 3 hours usage for an average speed of 60 kph.

Home Water control and Monitoring - Schematic Design, Optimized Component Selection, PCB Design, Procurement, and Assembly.

As the title implies this is a home automation project in which we control and monitor the water supply of the house using a mobile app. This project is composed of 3 devices Hub, Control Unit and Data Reader. The control unit focuses on controlling the water flowing through the pipe while the data reader monitors the temperature and flow rate. These peripherals communicate to the Hub using Z-wave protocol. The main task of the Hub sends the data gather by the peripherals to a cloud instance.

Smart Fuse Circuit Breaker - Validation and Verification

This project is a smart alternative for the traditional electronic power distribution fuses. This is geared towards replacing the medium-voltage fuses.

I am responsible for creating a test plan to verify both circuit level and PCB level design and writing the testing firmware. Also, I lead the team in the implementation of the testing.
